Supermarket Belongs to the Community

Supermarket belongs to the community. While Chef has the responsibility to keep it running and be stewards of its functionality, what it does and how it works is driven by the community. The chef/supermarket repository will continue to be where development of the Supermarket application takes place. Come be part of shaping the direction of Supermarket by opening issues and pull requests or by joining us on the Chef Mailing List.

munki Cookbook

  1. Downloads the latest official munki release from https://github.com/munki/munki/releases
  2. Installs it.
  3. Configures a munki repo based on the wiki getting start guide https://github.com/munki/munki/wiki/Demonstration-Setup

The cookbook does a basic check to confirm if you are running munki on Mac OS X "workstation" or Mac OS X "server" and will start apache if Mac OS X "server" is not setup.

Platforms

  • Tested on Mac OS X 10.11.6 workstation and with Server 5.1.7

Chef

  • Chef 12.0 or later

Cookbooks

  • munki - with no addtional cookbook dependencies but I'd suggest you look at better ways to manage the httpd.conf file as I use a brute force method.

Contributing
