Resources

consul_template_config - Used to place HCL files for the consul-template service to action. It accepts two properties, name and templates.

  • name - type: string (default: name of resource)
  • templates - type: array (accepts one or more ruby hashes)

Example:

aa_consul_template_config 'test.hcl' do
  templates [
    {
      source: '/path/to/first/source',
      destination: '/path/to/first/dest',
      backup: true,
      perms: '0644',
      wait: {
        min: '2s',
        max: '5s',
      },
    },
    {
      source: '/path/to/second/source',
      destination: '/path/to/second/dest',
      backup: false,
      perms: '0755',
      wait: {
        min: '10s',
        max: '15s',
      },
    },
  ]
end

This will yield a file that looks like:

template {
  source = "/path/to/first/source"
  destination = "/path/to/first/dest"
  backup = true
  perms = 0644
  wait {
    min = "2s"
    max = "5s"
  }
}

template {
  source = "/path/to/second/source"
  destination = "/path/to/second/dest"
  backup = false
  perms = 0755
  wait {
    min = "10s"
    max = "15s"
  }
}
